Well Abandonment
Do you have an unused well on your property?
- All unused wells must be properly abandoned. State law requires
that the unused wells must be closed according to specific regulations. Failure to follow these measures can
result in pollution of our drinking water, danger to children falling in, and fines from the state and county officials.
Hydro-Fracturing
• Hydro-Fracturing may restore your old well instead of having to drill
a new one by improving flow rates and restoring declining wells.
Fracturing is the process of using high pressure water to break away any obstruction, which may improve water
yields. Clean water is injected with pressures of up to 2500psi, pumped down a
high pressure pipe through a packer. (We can inject over 80 gallons
per minute). The process is repeated several times lowering it
to a new position in the well. The obstructions are forced out of the
water-producing fractures within the bedrock.
